Description

The Habana is a round floor lamp shade with a 30cm base diameter tapering to 35cm at the top, standing 25cm tall. The shade is wrapped in woven black fabric stretched over a metal frame, creating a tapered drum profile that diffuses light downward and outward through the textile. The fabric has a fine weave texture visible under close inspection but reads as matte black from typical viewing distances.

Designed as a replacement shade for tall floor lamps or table lamps with larger bases, the Habana suits lamp stands between 120-180cm in total height where the shade sits at or above eye level when standing. The 30/35cm diameter pairs with bases that have a footprint of 200-300mm square or circular, maintaining visual balance without overwhelming the stand. The black fabric absorbs rather than reflects light, directing output through the top and bottom apertures while minimising glare at eye level.
