Description

The Arqus is a 41cm diameter feather lampshade built on a clear vinyl frame, with overlapping layers of hand-dyed white feathers covering the entire surface. Each feather is individually attached to form a dense, cloud-like texture that softens and diffuses light passing through it. The shade stands 23cm tall and weighs 540g, making it light enough to pair with most pendant or table lamp fittings that accept a standard ES (E27) or BC (B22) lamp holder.

Designed as a decorative shade rather than a task-light diffuser, the Arqus works best with a low-wattage LED bulb (up to 100W rated, but 6-10W LED recommended) placed inside. The feather layers block direct glare and cast a soft ambient glow through gaps between feathers, creating moving shadow patterns on surrounding walls when air currents shift the feathers slightly.
