The FireNova IC bracket is a steel mounting frame designed for Knightsbridge FireNova fixed and tilt downlights, allowing them to be installed beneath insulation layers while maintaining IC (insulation contact) safety rating. The bracket creates a protective void around the downlight fitting, preventing direct contact between insulation material and the heat-generating components of the lamp.

Designed for loft and ceiling installations where thermal insulation is laid directly above plasterboard ceilings, the bracket ensures compliance with Building Regulations thermal barrier requirements without requiring insulation to be cut away around each downlight. The steel construction withstands typical loft temperatures and supports downlights fitted with LED lamps up to 7W output. The 120mm minimum void depth requirement means the bracket suits most residential ceiling constructions with joist depths of 150mm or greater.
